17 Mar A day in Liège
As weeks passed by, my adventures got put on hold. When I returned from my half year away in Mexico, I got super busy right away with adapting back in The Netherlands, which honestly has not been an easy task. Planning, arriving on time, much to do, lots of classes, and preparing the exams! After almost two months, I can finally say I am kind-of back on track, and now I have even more stuff to do than 7 weeks ago. Within two weeks I have to make my exams again, since I am now in the last phase of my study IBL.
Also, we were told to earn 1 more credit as an addition to the 60 credits we already have to obtain. One way to do so, was attending the exchange program that my French class offered. And I admit: I’d rather spend a day in Liège, than attending extra classes 🙂
On the 16th of February, the students from HEC Université already visited us in ‘s Hertogenbosch, which had been a very nice day. We attended a guest lecture about City Marketing and afterwards we had to do assignments in the city. Last Monday, it was time to head to Liège! Luckily I was able to drive with my dad’s car, which was super easy and also enjoyable because we got to chat together 🙂
The coordinator of HEC Université did a presentation about the university, and the students about the student life in Liège. I must say, we were really impressed. Liège offers a lot, like events for students (not just party-related) and it seemed like a vibrant city. I might consider doing my masters there, because they offer masters in the same study field. Furthermore, we had a really nice day with the students. We could tell they were proud to be a student in Liège, and they showed us the best spots, also for the famous waffles, the pekets, the fries, and of course the beers!
After the assignments for school, we had some fries with the students and we exchanged Facebooks, because we would like to meet up again soon!
Thank you HEC Université for the nice day!
