13 Sep Gwangjang Market, Jeju Island
New week filled with lots of nice activities! Yesterday I was aware of the fact that I have already spent three weeks in Korea, time flies.
I hopped on the metro and decided to check out Gwangjang Market. It is a traditional market with food, clothing, tailor shops and thrift shops.
It might be faith, don’t you think? 😉
Cool Korean neon signs in a bar in Itaewon.
On Tuesday, I booked a flight to Jeju Island, together with Robin, Léon, Bas, Job, Camiel, Cem, Jonathan, Vincent and Josh. On Friday morning at 2.45am, we woke up to head to the airport. Turned out the airport was still closed at that time. // Arrived in Jeju-do! We found an apartment on Airbnb, located in the south in Seogwipo.
Moving around in Jeju Island is not that easy.. since we didn’t rent any cars, we had to take cabs. // Temples in Seogwipo!
Hogeundong Beach! Much needed refreshment in those hot temperatures.
In the evening, we went to Monkey Beach Bar. This was definitely the most fun bar in Korea so far! 🙂
Saturday evening, we decided to go to Monkey Beach Bar once again, because we wanted to celebrate Camiel’s birthday. Sunday was beach day. Good weather, some swimming, ice cream, sunbathing & relaxing. In the evening we went to a traditional Korean restaurant to have Korean BBQ. That night, we stayed at ‘home’ and played some games. We left Seogwipo in the middle of the night, to head to the airport and flew back to Seoul.
