25 Apr Roadtrip to Belgium & France
Bonjour! Oui oui, after a few weeks in which I had exams, it was time to go on a roadtrip again. Together with my friends Inge, Nina and Charlotte, we planned a small trip to some Belgian and French coastline places.
On the road! First stop: Bruges!
Had lunch on the main square, went for some shopping and strolled around for a bit
We had some beers in a pub // The Charlie Rockets hostel we stayed in
Back on the road. Not sure where to go yet, but we stood upon this belle vue during the trip.
Got hungry, so Inge and I decided to turn off the highway and drive on the more inland road, which was way more beautiful and fun. 2,5 hours of only highway got a bit boring. We stopped by a really small town called Audresselles, and ate some good moules avec frites!
That night, we drove to Le Havre, where we booked a hotel for one night.
Next day: off to Etretat. This is a town half an hour away from Le Havre (more up north), known for its beautiful bay with cliffs. And indeed it was a very cool place.

In the night, we slept in Amiens. It was pretty late when we got there. Though it was a charming and authentic French place, with cobblestoned streets and Lego-houses.
And now on our way to the next and last stop. We got stuck in a traffic jam, and this was the perfect opportunity for us to practice for the karaoke bar.
Last stop: Antwerp! We stayed in the City Antwerp Hotel, it is really recommendable! Super centered and offers beds for a good price. We went to a pub to try out some Belgian beers bien sûr, and in the evening, we went to a karaoke bar!
Next day, we were slightly hung over, but it was time to go home!
